These terms of service (“Terms of Service”) are a contract between you and Romanlar (“Romanlar” , “we” or ”us”). By creating your Romanlar account and using the Site or our mobile applications to post various content, including stories you create, comments and messages, or to access and view Romanlar content or other user content (together with the Site, the “Services”), you're agreeing to these Terms of Service and to other terms, including but not limited to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree to any of these terms, you can't use the Romanlar Services. If you are under the age of 18, or do not have full capacity for civil conduct, please read Terms of Service with your legal guardian, raise your awareness when on the internet and pay special attention to the terms for minor users. Otherwise, Romanlar will not be responsible for the adverse consequences of such subsequent registration, use of website services, etc., and has the right to terminate the service agreement between the two parties after knowing the situation.
Accounts and password
To get the most out of our Services, you'll need to register an account name, and set a password.
You're responsible for all the activity on your account, and for keeping your password confidential. We suggest you keep your password safe and make one with at least three of the following four types of characters: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols. Too simple password or improper way to remember it could make it easy to be hacked. We will not have any liability to you (or anyone you share your account information with) as a result of your or their actions under those circumstances.
Our Rights and Information Protection in the Services
To get the most out of our Services, you may need to register an account and fill in necessary information as required by us or by laws and regulations. Otherwise, you will lose all or part of your rights to access and use the platform. Once submitted, information you submitted can still be viewed or edited; but, for security purpose, others cannot. We suggest that all minor users, especially those under the age of 10, should obtain the consent of their parents or guardians before joining the platform and register in their names.
We are continuously implementing and updating all kinds of security measures to protect your Personal Information from loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, etc. We do not and will not disclose your information, submitted or collected by us, to any third party, except in the following situations:
Under your consent to do so;
To comply with an applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request;
To protect the rights, property, or safety of Romanlar, our employees, our users, or the public.
Things You Should and Shouldn't Do
Don't make any commercial use of Romanlar, unless Romanlar allows.
Don't transfer your rights under this Terms of service.
Don't use any kind of software, device or method to try and damage or disrupt Romanlar.
Don't steal any content from Romanlar without permission. Don't change, translate, reproduce, distribute or otherwise create derivative works of any content unless you get explicit consent from the author of that content.
Don't steal Romanlar's valuable intellectual property. Don't take apart or reverse engineer any aspect of the Site or Services in an effort to access things like source code, underlying ideas, or algorithms.
Don't break the law. Don't take any action that infringes or violates other people's rights, violates the law, take part in political events, or breaches any contract or legal duty you have toward anyone.
Don't submit content you don't hold the copyright for (unless you have permission, including to grant Romanlar all the rights outlined in these terms). You're responsible for the content you post. This means you assume all risks related to its publication and display, including someone else's reliance on its accuracy and any claims relating to intellectual property or other legal rights.
Use the Service in a manner provided or approved by Romanlar.
Please understand that Romanlar does the best to provide you with continue and safe Services but cannot foresee and prevent legal, technical and other risks, including but not limited to force majeure, viruses, hacker attacks, system instability, service interruption, data loss, third-party service defects, government policies, etc.
Please understand that you need to prepare a device (such as computers, modems) to get the Services, and bear resulted expenses (such as credit or mobile data package).
Please comply with rules on any third party involved in your use on Romanlar.
If you do something that gets us sued, or break any of the promises you make in these Terms of Service, you shall compensate us for any liabilities, losses, claims, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees and costs) that arise from or relate to your use or misuse of the Services. We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to this clause, in which case you agree that you'll cooperate and help us in asserting any defenses. We may also suspend or terminate your account or cease providing you with all or part of the Services at any time when we find out that you violate the aforementioned code of conduct. Fees you already paid are deemed as your liquidated damages to Romanlar, if which still is unable to make up for our losses, we remain our recourse against you.
Ads
Romanlar may send you advertisements, promotions or publicity information (including commercial and non-commercial information) by itself or by third-party advertisers in providing services, the manner and scope of which may be changed without notifying you.
Romanlar performs relevant obligations to advertisers in accordance with the law. You should judge the authenticity of advertising information by yourself and be responsible for the results and related transactions. We will not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any sort incurred by you as a result of any advertisements.
All of our Services for which you are charged may not exempt you from advertisements provided by Romanlar. By agreeing to this, you will accept this term.
Subscriptions
Romanlar has the right to decide this service is free or not. For charged part, please abide by the relevant agreements showed on the page. If you refuse to pay, you cannot enjoy that part of our services. The top-up amount cannot be used for any product or service other than this Service. Romanlar will not refund already spent amount but would review whether to return the left unconsumed recharge amount in your account after you apply for a drawback. If approve, Romanlar will return via the same payment method you used when recharging, and will charge a 10% service fee. If your original payment method is not in use, you can provide us with another one.
Romanlar has the right to decide and revise how and what to charge, which will become effective upon publication and constitute an effective part of this Agreement but will notify our users on relevant page before putting in place. Your continued use of this service constitutes your agreement to the relevant changes.
Our books are paid to read within a certain period, which is one month from the date when you pay to unlock chapters. Therefore, Romanlar only guarantees that the novels are available within the above-mentioned period, and does not assume any responsibility if they're not after that time.
Top Up
Romanlar has different virtual coins for each of its products, which are only valid on their original platform. We do not allow users to make transactions on these virtual money. Once this kind of action is found, Romanlar has the right to take appropriate measures without notice.
As a virtual product, these coins cannot be returned or refunded. Thus, you should check your account and related information before paying and shall not request a refund or compensation on the grounds that there are still remaining virtual coins in the account after the consumption is completed or reasons on your part.
If you pay via third parties, please abide by the agreements with them and their service rules and properly keep personal information. Romanlar is not responsible for disputes arising from third-party payment services.
If your account is frozen and/or terminated due to violation of the terms of this agreement, we will not make any compensation or compensation. But if your recharge is failed or has any problems, like getting more than you charged, due to Romanlar itself, we will make remedial measures after the system is restored.
Revenue
By getting part of our services, including publishing books and comments, you are willing to accept various rewards from other users or the site, which will be deducted a certain service fee (less than or equal to 50%) before getting you. If you refuse to accept such rewards or the service fee, it is deemed that you do not accept this Terms of service, and cannot use this part of services.
General Terms
Changes. Our Terms of Service may change from time to time. If they do, we'll let you know about any material changes except some very limited situations. Please note that your continued use of the Services after any change means that you agree with, and consent to be bound by, the new Terms of Service. If you disagree with any changes in the Terms of Service and do not wish to be subject to the revised terms, you will need to close your account and/or stop using the Services.
Choice of law and jurisdiction.
Any arbitration between you and Romanlar will be resolved by binding arbitration administered in Hongkong.
